About Me

Hi,

I'm Julia and I've made jewelry for almost as long as I can remember.

I keep researching fancy About Page formulas to knock your socks off and wow you with my talents, but in all honesty, there are not enough hours in the day to take all the classes I’ve found, so I'm winging it.

Here's the long and the short of it. I'm a mom. I love to create. I’ve worked 13 years (and counting) perfecting and learning jewelry techniques. It seriously makes me happy when someone tracks me down to create a new charm or sentiment bangle because a new baby joined the family, and they want to add to their collection. There is nothing more gratifying than knowing my work is bringing someone joy. Joy is the due North to which I’ve steered this ship since the beginning, and it’s also the reason for some changes in recent months.

On Nov. 9, I looked around and didn’t see much joy in the world. My own had disappeared overnight. Optimism suddenly seemed nonexistent. What began as nothing short of despair for the fate of my country and my children has since turned into determination. This country is my home, and the pain I feel for it right now will rally me as I fight for it and my legacy in it.

Maybe you feel the same way and that’s why you’re here. Oh, how I hope so! How I hope we can join together to bring joy back to our land and its people. Here’s my humble proposition: I’ll continue to do what I know and love, and fashion something we can be proud to wear as we defend what we know to be right. It will buoy us on dark days and remind us we are not alone. Finally, it will quite literally pay it forward.

Enter RESIST Jewelry.  Designed with thought and passion. Crafted in the USA. Created to make a difference. Ten percent will go straight back to the National Resource Defense Council (NRDC) and the ACLU.

So bring yourself and your hope and especially your joy and let’s rock this. All of it.

All the Best,

Julia
